Gregory Rossetti and Jody Stocovaz
Originally from Sydney, Australia, I now live in the Marche region of Italy with my husband Greg and we work together on graphic design projects. My father immigrated to Australia from Northern Italy and worked on the Snowy Mountain Scheme in the 60s. My mother is Australian and is originally from Brisbane.
I studied at the Billy Blue School of Graphic Design in North Sydney in the early 90s. However, at that time, Billy Blue were teaching traditional methods, to master techniques by hand which had just started being done by computer. It was so wonderful learning the traditional techniques but I felt they were not going to be useful in the real world, so I did not complete the course and went on to teach myself graphic design by purchasing the Adobe programs (Pagemaker which later became InDesign and Photoshop) as well as CoralDraw. I opened my own studio in Double Bay, Sydney, and each evening I would go to a local restaurant for my dinner break, study the massive user-manuals, and then go back to work.
I later registered with Desktop People Employment Agency, North Sydney and over a period of eight years I worked on many assignments through the agency, for clients such as the NSW Health Department, Deloittes and Rothschild and others.
In 1998, I worked for the first time on the Social Justice and Native Title Reports for the Australian Human Rights Commission. Since then, I have been working as a freelance designer almost exclusively for the Commission, and in more recent years I have been responsible for the design and layout of  most of the Commission’s digital and print publications.
Other recent clients include ANROWS, the University of Sydney, COTA, Interchange Pty Ltd, Elevate Consulting Pty Ltd and Culleapo Pty Ltd.
